The AMD A10-8700P BGA microprocessors are soldered onto their motherboards, for that reason upgrading or replacing them is extremely difficult and not worth the cost, so even if you can upgrade to the top of the range AMD FX-8800P this CPU won't give you much better or superior performance! What I suggest that you do is for you to upgrade your bios to the last version 1.10 as that will also "Improve System Performancne" but be very careful as Acer warns consumers that "Upgrading your system BIOS incorrectly could harm your Acer product. Please proceed with caution" and if don't know how to do this then get an experienced tech to do it for you as and if you do it wrongly you can brick your laptop, then upgrade the mechanical HDD to a boot SSD drive (as you can also reuse your old boot drive as a slave and put into the DVD drive space with a caddy) and also upgrade the RAM to its max capacity by using the Crucial System Scan as this scan will tell you all the compatible upgrades of the MAX RAM and SSD that your Aspire E5-552 can handle plus, Win-10 is the max OS that you can have and also make sure that you have Win-10 OS up to date and all its drivers up to date in your Aspire E5-552 as that will make this laptop perform to its peak performance.

Thanks a lot for your generous advice, appreciate a lot !! :)

Glad to help you out as these old laptops are a reliable, indestructible and very useful tools as allot of them run much better at their peak setup than the modern laptops do with less bsods and/or errors or breakdowns. I've got  an old Aspire V3-571G with the i7-3610QM cpu, 16GB DRR3-1600Mhz ram that I've had since new and I've done the ram, ssd and win-10 upgrades and updates and this laptop is an absolute pleasure to use and a real indestructible workhorse with Win-10 Pro.
