Been thinking of increasing my ram from 8gb to 16gb. Noticed that my ram is at 55% in gaming mode and 65% in normal running mode. Even with gamefast on drops to 51% which leaves a low amount to run any games such as bf2042 its maxed 100% constantly.  I have looked into ram and wanted to by exact same as i have already.
Memory

8.0 GB

Speed: 3200 MHz
Slots used: 1 of 8
Form factor: SODIMM
Hardware reserved: 205 MB

Available 2.5 GB
Cached 1.4 GB
Committed 9.5/15.2 GB
Paged pool 622 MB
Non-paged pool 925 MB
In use (Compressed) 5.3 GB (291 MB)

I came across this from amazon..

Crucial RAM CT8G4SFRA32A 8GB DDR4 3200MHz CL22 (or 2933MHz or 2666MHz) Laptop Memory

its 28.99 which seems a very low price for ram but has great reviews. Would this be ok to use with my Nitro an515-56

The AN515-56 can have a max of 64GB RAM at DDR4-2666MHz as far as the Crucial System Scan is showing. I suggest that you do the Crucial Sysytem Scan and that will tell you the best and most suitable memory for your choice and budget for this laptoip. Btw I've got the same laptop and I'm running the Crucial 2x 16GB DDR4-3200MHz CT2K16G4SFD8266 and it works 100%.

What Acer quotes as max RAM of 32GB is conservative and is what Acer is willing to quote but, its not the tested manufacturers max spec of Intel for their 11th Gen CPU's, which is a Max Memory Size (dependent on memory type) that is 64GB at Memory Types DDR4-3200, LPDDR4x-4267 is and that is what Crucial have tested with these Intel 11th Gen CPU's and that is why they guarantee their scans and what they recommend. Read about why Crucial quotes the higher specs as they have a very detailed explanation. Also note that Crucial quotes DDR4-2666MHz RAM with the max 64GB at 2x 32GB and not DDR4-3200MHz.

Also and as far as the AN515-55 that comes up in the scan, as its the same with my AN515-56 also, as the AN515-56 is a new model that Crucial hasn’t updated its scan but its the same as the AN515-55 anyway as far as memory is concerned. Just look at the Crucial Scan memory recommendations and specs as it works 100%, I can vouch for that as and I’ve said I’m running 2x 16GB DDR4-3200Mhz (like listed above) and it works perfectly as I don't need 64GB total of 2x 32GB. Btw and just as some more info for you, I've used Crucial System Scan recommendations for older laptops where their CPU's max specs were 16GB max RAM and Acer quoted Max RAM of 8GB (2x4GB) and Crucial suggested 16GB (2x8GB) and it worked when I fitted the 2x 8GB.

I got another 8gb of amazon
Its in. Works fine. Massive improvement on games. However just noticed it was 100% and plugged in. Started a game. Within like 10 minutes my battery light changed to orange so I checked and it had dropped to 95%? Yes it's plugged in. I checked on battery icon and again it stated plugged in.
I did notice this before but thought my wire had popped out slightly. Battery shouldn't drain while plugged in as it should run direct of ac supply shouldn't it
