nitro5' How serious is a splitting lid?

After a little over 4 years, my nitro5's lid came apart a bit on the bottom corner, at a hinge when I tried to close it. There is no visible effect on the display. Opening and closing is still possible but awkward and feels like doing it a few more times will make it worse. I can pinch the two halves together and it will stay attached with barely a sign of the issue as long as the lid is not moved again. Since I don't carry my laptop around, I could leave it open on the desk all day long but doing that in this dusty room I live in is a bad idea.
Is this something worth taking for repair or should I let it be?

@Hahaha the screw holes are broken from the LCD cover. If you just mainly use it on the desk and do not usually close the lid, you don't really need to replace it. Otherwise, you should replace the LCD cover to prevent breaking the hinge or LCD.
