Hey,
Do any of you guys know how can I turn the brightness change option on? I did update my Acer v3-571 from Win7 to Win10 a while ago, but sill cannot change the brightness level of the screen. I am not sure of downloading the drivers from sites other than Acer's, but on Acer's site aren't any drivers for that laptop with Win10 on-board. What do you guys reccomend to do?

In win-10 right click on desktop > display settings > brightness and that is the way to increase or dicrease brightness setting, its a very simple setting to do or if you want more details go here "How to Change Screen Brightness on Windows 10 – Brightness Settings and How to Turn Brightness Down"

Yeah, but that doesn't work. There is no slider or other option to adjust brightness. That's why I created this post, because i've search the threads before and display settings doesn't have that option.

Hey I don't know this was answered or answered clearly, but if you click "Start" (left-hand corner) and literally start typing "Device Manager" you'll have a panel (Device Manager) that you can click on with your drivers. If you left-click on "Monitor" you'll have an "Update Driver" option. Click that and then go to "Browse Drivers for your computer", then "Let me pick from a list" and then click "Generic PnP Monitor." Hit "Next" it will install this default driver and the brightness slider will reappear where it should, at least for me it did.  Sorry I don't have screenshots, I had to sift through dozens of fix it sites to find this solution. Some incompetent update must have messed with the drivers.

Found something like this on microsoft forum and it worked!
