Acer 18.5-inch Widescreen LCD Monitor Black | G185hv

As part of an emachine settlement, I was sent a certificate toward purchase of merchandise, including a refurbished Acer 18.5-inch Widescreen LCD Monitor Black | G185hv which arrived today.

Box contained no manual or CD and no paperwork at all.  I was able to hook it up, but the picture presented is not right.  The contrast at the top appears to be normal, but it progressively fades (and gets blurry) the further down the screen you look.  My old 15 inch CRT's picture was far superior.  The only way to fix this problem seems to be if I manually tilt the monitor backward about 30 (!) degrees!

I looked for a way to adjust the screen tilt, but can't find any (other than sliding a stack of magazines under the front of the base.

When I tried to find information at Acer Support, I was required to enter the serial number...and when I did that, I was told it was out of warranty (despite the promised limited warranty).

Is there a solution to this problem?  Thanks for any help you might be able to provide.

Looks like I get to answer my own question.  Grasp sides of monitor...one hand on each side...and bend the monitor back.  It goes back 15 degrees.   I'd been afraid of breaking the thing.  Now, if I can figure out the controls on the bottom right of the frame.  I still thing a simple instruction pamphlet would've been mighty helpful.

Yes Manuals and instruction booklets appear to be an almost thing of the past, guess they figure nobody reads them anyhow??

IT looks like to find out what the buttons do it is going to be a trial and error session to determine the functions.. Perhaps looking for a similar monitors guide or manual perhpas that piece is similar on all the monitors??
