Hi everyone

Im in a bit of a predicament here. My laptop recently came back with an issue. the power only stays on while plugged in and the battery light keeps flashing. even after a battery replacement. my model is an acer A515-43-R1JA. it has also had a total motherboard replcement so i doubt the new motherboard is the issue.

Where did it come back from?

    (1) Search 'cmd' in Windows start menu.
    (2) Right click command prompt near top of menu.
    (3) Click run as administrator.
    (4) Enter 'powercfg /batteryreport' at command prompt.
    (5) Then return to the desktop. Open file explorer.
    (6) Then search for' battery-report.html' in the c:\windows\system32\ sub-folder. Double-click to open it in the browser.
    (7) Post screenshot of the first part of the report if possible that compares design full charge capacity with its remaining full charge capacity.

Sorry, I disagree. A flashing charge LED suggests either the replacement battery's own internal charge regulator or the mainboard's charge regulator has failed. If it's still under warranty, you must try to arrange for further warranty repair.

    Hi @JoelJokiaho,

    # Try to update the battery driver

    1. Hold windows key and hit letter X.
    2. Choose the device manager option.
    3. Go with the option battery.
    4. Under the title battery.
Update Battery Drivers in Windows EASILY - Driver Easy
    5. Right click on that option ----> Update all driver under the title battery.
    6. Choose "search automatically".

Check this T/S and post the result.
