Yep. Do it again. Run it down. Then charge it up again. Keep cycling it. Jack E/NJ

The battery doesn't look too bad. It's only lost about 25% of its capacity. Continue cycling. Jack E/NJ

deathroid   Your battery seems to have normal wear. Try a new 65watt  charger. Search google for part numbers "ADP-65VH FA", "A065R078L" or "PA-1650-86-AL" for vendors convenient to your location. Less than $20usd. Jack E/NJ

    Bad news JackE,

    The issue came back =(

Going to fully discharge-recharge but if nothing else works I'm buying another battery.

Perhaps this has to do with the fact that my computer is always plugged in?
Hi, I am having the same issue for 2 days now on my Acer Nitro 5 (AN 515-51), have it been solved for you yet?

I have the same issue with my Acer Aspire A515 54G. Did anyone find a solution please? I usually use the laptop while connected to power. Someone told me that it might be the reason. Full charge capacity is about 72% of the design capacity. The connecting/disconnecting with beeps started several months ago and was getting worse day by day. The charger is good because it works well for a similar laptop. Thanks for any reply in advance.

Beeps mean the connection between the charger plug and laptop jack are not good and intermittent. Check that the center pin is straight and sliders are visible inside the jack.

Thank you very much JackE. That’s a big hint. The center pin looks straight enough but I don’t see any of the sliders. Should I replace the port right away or is it okay to wrap a small piece of aluminum foil around the plug to make it tight and see whether there is an improvement? Thanks again!

Try to bend the sliders toward the center pin with a toothpick or suitable non-conductive pick. The sliders need to press harder against the barrel contact of the charger plug. Watch out that any foil doesn't slip off and get jambed inside causing more issues.

Hi there, I have the same issue, sliders are okay on my end. May I ask if someone tried to buy a new battery and if that resolved the issue? thanks :)

Hi I tried to use my laptop without the battery and it works just fine, the charge won't turn and off unlike when the battery is attached so most likely this is a battery issue

Actually I also have this problem since 2019. I replace new battery. Then after a few weeks later. The problem come back. This problem are also problem to my friend with different model but same brand. So the solution is replace some component on motherboard or buy new laptop.

Charger connecting/disconnecting under heavy load is normal when the battery has to help the charger meet the power demand. During these times the battery is actually intermittently discharging even though plugged in. A higher powered charger will reduce but not eliminate this behavior under heavy loads.
