Aspire A715-71G function key behavior option missing

 I wanted to disable the function key shortcut (as it is becoming barrier to the software im using ) from BIOS but there is no option of function key behavior in MAIN menu.. help me with it...

my model is Aspire A715-71G

    Press Fn+F2 keys to enter BIOS, you need to press these buttons as soon as you press the power button to turn on.

    that enter the bios menu ... i need to disable the function keys shortcut

    Hi,
    If you don't have the option in BIOS, I think you can not change the keyboard behaviour but I could be wrong, so please wait for someone else to chime in, you could also try contacting Acer support centre in your region to find answer.

    Some models have the ability to add that option to the BIOS menu by pressing CTRL-S while in the Main tab. If yours doesn't then as suggested you can't change the behavior. A workaround is to use an external keyboard.

    @Sh4nks that's fairly old BIOS and might not have some option to switch the Fx key function. Try to go on the Acer support site and type the model number in for the latest BIOS. Process this carefully by keeping the charger plugged in and not force shutdown the laptop during the update as this can corrupt the BIOS.
