Try installing the Win10 driver in Win11's Win10 mode. Right click properties on the driver install executable. Click the compatibility tab. Run in Win10 compatibility mode.

Windows 10 not listed in Compatability Mode. Only Windows 8. Tried. Still no change

As I've advised other mostly ACER users, Win11 should NOT be installed unless---

    (1) The Microsoft Win10 update page says congratulations your machine is ready to update to Win11 AND the warning that some features may not work properly has been removed
    AND
    (2) the ACER OEM download site has the new Win11 drivers listed. The same would apply to Gateway OEM download site. If the OEM drivers aren't there, don't try to run Win11 and expect it to perform flawlessly

If you insist on trying to run Win11 anyway, I suggest that you first try to disable any virtual machine settings in the BIOS advanced tab if you have an advanced tab. Press Ctrl+S to reveal any hidden BIOS options

You might also refer to some of the suggestions in this link especially to  disable Hyper-V. https://www.drivereasy.com/knowledge/solved-error-code-48-in-device-manager/

Finally, many users have reported that DriverPack often seems to work better than DriverBooster lately so you might want to try that as well.

    Good luck.

I appreciate your time and thank you for the advice you've tried to give. It's just frustrating that the Gateway brand was relaunched two years ago and the gatewayusa.com site is so limited for being representative of a major company. I've been building my own pc's for over two decades now. I was able to resolve the issue by reinstalling Windows 11. For the record, I believe it was a third-party driver update application that caused my problem. I will no longer be using that product. Thank you for your time. Best Wishes
