Hello everybody,

I have got a problem with my Acer AO 756 877B2kk (purchased novembre 2012 - screen 11.6 - windows 7 - no upgrade so far).

I have downloaded an audiovideo file from Wetransfer, but mediaplayer won't read it (impossible to read the file); the error is COOD1199.

I really cannot work out how to read that file. I have downloaded VLC but the file doesn't start neither.

Can anyone please help me?

Thank you.

What is the extention on the audio file? (example.....File.xxx......where the .xxx would be the extention)

That's not it...Perhaps give me what is listed in the "Type" column in your file explorer.

Hi, I am sorry, I am not so up with this kind of operations.

I have unfalgged the options to hide the file extension, but I cannot see it in the specs of the file (pushing the right button).

Hmmm. That is a common file extention.

The error code is typically given for missing codex errors. (Basically types of encoding, lots of different types out there.)

This codex pack should have the one you need, and cover any future files you download as well.

Thank you for your advice; actually it turned out that the original file was damaged, so I was not able to open it with any software I downloaded. So they sent me another file and then it worked.  By the way thank you Acer community.
