I've just bought this laptop 2-3 months ago and facing this error after an ssd change from the service centre because preloaded ssd was faulty. They installed kingston om8pcp3512f-aa SSD in ACER ASPIRE 7 i dont know is this ssd supported to the laptop or not but after they've changed the ssd my laptop is behaving awkwardly. Its C drive space keeps on filling despite i'm not installing any application in C drive. Whenever i boot the laptop sometimes it shows the DPC_WATCHDOG_VOILATION and also takes a long time to boot. I think that the firmware of the ssd is not supported in laptop ?But i am not sure and the guy from service centre keeps saying that they are not getting any BSOD at their side.

I would check the SMART of the drive, if you use something like crystal disk info, does it suggest any of the things are a fail or pre-fail

All 2.5" and M.2 SSD's are supported by your laptop, This Kingston NVMe 512GB model OM8PCP3512F-AA is not your Hypersonic Mach 8 jet or one of the top M.2 SSD's like the Samsung 980 Pro but it should perform well and do the job. First, enable the TRIM command in windows, which enables your operating system to tell the solid-state drive that a particular data on your solid-state drives are no longer needed and they can be erased internally.

Do a "Clean up system files and a Disk Cleanup" on the boot drive, as no matter what software and applications you put on a slave drive windows stores all its updates, temp files on drive C:\ so go to drive C, right click > disk cleanup > cleanup system files and clean all the files there as that could have GB's of unwanted data or and if you updated to Win-11 then it has the old Win-10 files that take also GB's of unneeded data and its slowing this boot drive down. Also see if Kingston has any firmware updates for this drive as most reputable SSD manufacturers do update their SSD firmware

I do cleanup every week but every time when i boot the laptop  more than 5GB of space is just filled and on performing cleanup it just shows around 100mb of files to clean including temp files. But drive  space keeps on filling  and scenario is different when i boot  next time . this time 2gb of space is freed . I don't know the problem with ssd or laptop and even the guy on service center  isn't able to tell the solution

find the screenshot of crystaldisk info  below

  • It would be interesting if you inform the exact model of the computer. Example AN515-55-58VH. Regarding dpc watchdog violation, check if the issue continues to occur by disabling fast start up in power options:
Turn On or Off Fast Startup in Windows 10 Tutorials
As for the KINGSTON SSD MANAGER program, this occurs when VMD CONTROLLER is enabled in bios or when SATA MODE is set to RST WITH OPTANE. Can you send some pictures of the INFORMATION and MAIN tab of the bios?

Smart is all good,so it rules that out, could be a bawked driver update? Whats the version of the nvidia graphics you have installed? (DPC is an annoying one as its just a generic something went wrong so they are annoying to troibleshoot!)
