Apire 5 A515-51-563W Can I fix this myself or do I need a professional?

I have the Acer Apire 5 A515-51-563W
When I turn my laptop on it stays on the acer logo screen. Every once in a while it will pop up a blue screen with the error code 0xc0000185
I can get into the bios but nothing seems wrong there. It doesn't make it to the login screen or anything.

Probably fix it yourself. Shut down the machine  normally. Unplug the charger. Insert a paperclip into the battery disconnect pinhole on the bottom for about a minute. Plug the charger back in. Wait for the battery charge LED to turn steady blue. Turn the machine on and immediately tap F2 to enter the BIOS menu again. Press F9 to load defaults. Press F10 to save defaults and exit. Should fix the problem. If not, a few other things to try before getting a laptop repair shop involved.

I have unplugged it reset bios setting to default and rebooted but its like it will not finish booting up. Laptop just sits on the logo screen. I have also tried enabling F12 boot and it did not work.

Sounds like time to use your recovery drive.

    >>>I have unplugged it>>>

Did you also disconnect the battery pack from the mainboard using the pinhole method or actually remove the bottom cover and pull the battery pack connector from the mainboard?

I do not have a recovery drive. I've done a little bit of research and would that be like reinstalling Windows or would I need to download the acer updates to it?

Looks like the recovery partition may be missing. May need to do a reinstall from DVD or flash drive.

Go to this link on another Windows computer. Follow directions to create a bootable Windows installation USB pendrive. Insert the pendrive into a USB port. Then turn the machine on and immediately tap the F12 key. A menu should appear to allow you to boot from the Windows installation drive. Follow installation directions to re-install Windows if the internal boot drive is still detected by the BIOS. If not, we'll have to examine the BIOS setup in more detail.
