Hello fellow nitro 5 enthusiasts, I have purchased the acer nitro 5 AN517-41-R3NX and I have been looking to upgrade my ram since they designed this notebook so well that it is fairly easy to do so. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find suitable ressources that would guide me as to which RAM I should install and which are compatible.
It would be really helpful if any of you, that have this product or a similar one, could help me out with it.

First of all, I've been looking for the fastest 32gb ram kit I could find.
Here's my first question, would Crucial Ballistix 3200 MHz DDR4 CL 16 (32gb kit) work ? Its voltage is 1.35volts and it needs the notebook to be compatible with either intel XMP or in my case since this is an AMD computer, be compatible with DCOP under my bios. Is my gaming laptop able to do so ? If then, well I only really need confirmation at this point.
If this is not compatible, do any of you have any other recommendations ? What I'm looking for is really the fastest 32gb kit I can find that is compatible with my laptop. So far,
this ram kit which has a clock latency of 16 and 3200mhz of speed seems the best. Or is there any other faster ram suitable for my laptop?

To finish this post, please keep in mind I have writing from Canada and in doing so, I would like to prioritize buying from here for lower delivery times. (will order from amazon or newegg).

Thank you for your help !

Nitro line does not support XMP, so ballistic is not a good idea. 1.2v is the compatible RAM for your laptop. This would be fine for you - https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/ct2k8g4sfra32a/ct20658111

I'm looking for a 32gb kit that offers both fast ram speed (i think 3200 is the best so far)and good clock latency. That kit is 16gb, is it really the best you could find ?

I found this online, is this compatible ? Cause it's the best so far with 1.20 volts

Sorry mate for the 16GB kit I kind of mixed up the links. The G. SKILL is XMP look at the screen shot below:
This is the kit I meant in the first place - https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/ct2k16g4sfra32a/ct20658173

Do a Crucial System Scanner as that will tell you all the compatible memory that is suitable for your laptop including their SSD's. The Acer laptops are not suitable with overclocked memory and also allot of memory is not compatible with Acer laptops, so be careful what you buy. Best way is to install CPUz and look in the Memory and SPD sections of what your OEM RAM specs are and match the same manufacturers part number (if you can?) and the RAM specs which is essential e.g. which is usually a CAS# Latency (CL) 22.0 clocks in the Memory section or whatever you have and buy the same RAM. As altering the CAS# Latency (CL) to the G.SKILL Ripjaws Series you have a link to which is a CL 18 will not work and that is why allot of upgrades with the wrong RAM get a Black screen.

    Hi ya,

I had the same issue, and i bought the same ram kit you are looking at (Crucial Ballistix 3200 MHz DDR4 CL 16) but without XMP it will default to 2666mhz and there it will stay.

I found the Kingston Fury kit has slightly better timings than the factory kit and you will get 3200MHZ without XMP (
KF3200C20S4) is the part number, the Kit I bought has 2 x 16gig sticks.

I also changed my M.2s to Samsung Evo 970s for slightly faster speed there too.

    Cheers
