Predator G3-571 Charger

Hi, I bought my Predator G3-571 from the US around 4 years ago and I've been using it ever since. I recently moved to another country though and all the outlets here are in 220V. The charger for my Predator G3-571 is in 110V and after searching for chargers with plugs that fit the 220V chargers, I was unable to find any. I also considered using an adaptor instead of just buying a new charger but I have no idea where to start. I'm a little afraid to just purchase some random charger/adaptor and start using it in case it fries my laptop. I was wondering if anyone here could help me with this?

Sorry in advance if my question is too vague, I'm not really aware of the terminology used to describe parts so please let me know if any extra information is needed!

    Hi @ilovecoffee,

How to Use a 110v to 220v Power Converter
    1. First, check a 110/120-volt outlet with a voltage tester to make sure the outlet is wired correctly and doesn't have a ground fault interrupter in the circuit. ...
    2. Plug the power supply cord into a 110/120-volt outlet.
    3. Plug the other power cord into a different 110/120-volt outlet.

Hi, thank you so much for the help! I'm still a little confused though.

I only have Type C plugs here and my charger is made for a Type B plug.

Would it be safe for me to just use one of those mini plug converters at the end of my charger's cord? Or should I be getting one of those huge voltage converters? (Is that what I'm using the voltage tester for?)

Normally, I'd just use the mini-plug converters for any of my appliances that require different voltages but the last time I tried that with my laptop, the mini-plug started sparking and broke. I assume this was because there was too much electricity going through the mini converter but I'm not entirely sure.

Sorry in advance if this doesn't make any sense, please let me know and I'll try and be more detailed!
