My Acer Predator Helios 300 PH315-52-72RG has had a black screen since about 2-3 weeks ago and I’ve tried several things to fix it. I tried a power reset and leaving it alone for several different periods of time ranging from 5 minutes all the way up to 3 days. Does anyone have any ideas on what I could do? Thanks for the help!

Have you tried pressing the Fn+F3 keys to power on? Also can you get into BIOS by pressing F2 key, give us more details of what you have attempted to do to power on your PH315-52-72RG?

My laptop fully turns on, keyboards light up, fans turn on, it even auto connects my Bluetooth headphones. The screen is just completely black, no logo or anything.

I’ve tried getting into bios and it didn’t work. It started when I was watching YouTube and the screen just went black without any warning at all. I thought the battery died so I plugged it in for the night. The next morning it still wasn’t working so I looked up some possible solutions and tried to drain the battery by leaving it on all day. That won’t work, because it auto shuts off after about 5-10 mins of idling, so I would have to repeat this procedure a lot. I tried the power reset a few days ago. I unplugged the battery connector, held the power button for 1 minute, plugged it back in, and still nothing worked. I’ve tried draining the battery, keeping it off, or just letting it run hoping it turns on for time periods between minutes and days at a time. So far, nothing has worked at all. For the method with the Fn+F3 keys, would I press those with the power button or instead of the power button?

I tried doing this and my laptop still has a black screen, would I need to connect it to an external monitor to do this?

Update: I tried holding it down for about 15 seconds and one of my fans started speeding up. The screen is still black and I have no idea what I do about it. I’ve tried holding it down for up to a minute or two but still noting works.
