I was using mu laptop when the screen went black. Its done this a few times and I can usually hold the power button in and switch it back on as normal. This time it wouldn't load up at all. I've tried all of the troubleshooting and the last resort of reinstalling windows 11 while cleaning all files from the laptop. At 4% of the blue installing windows page the screen has gone black again but it is still making noise like its trying to load something. Can anyone help please? I haven't even had the laptop for 3 months.

    (1) Press and hold the power button till the laptop shuts off.
    (2) Unplug charger. No LEDs should be lit.
    (3) Insert paper clip into reset pinhole on bottom for about a minute
    (4) Plug charger back in but wait till battery charge LED turns from steady orange to steady blue
    (5) Only after battery charge LED turns steady blue, turn laptop back on and immediately press the F2 key to enter the BIOS menu
    (6) Press F9 in the BIOS menu to load defaults. Press F10 to save defaults and exit the BIOS menu
    (7) If it doesn't pick up installing where it left off, try installing again

Can you access the BIOS? Tap F2 immediately after turning on the machine. Don't wait for the ACER logo.  If yes, please post a phone photo of the BIOS INFORMATION tab if possible.

OK. Go to the BIOS MAIN tab and make sure the F12 boot and D2D options are both enabled. In the BIOS SECURITY tab, set a BIOS supervisor password. Don't forget it. Then press F10 to save settings and exit.

Then press and hold the power button to turn the laptop off again. Then turn it back on and immediatelly tap F2 to enter the BIOS with the passwork. Go to the BIOS BOOT tab and disable secure boot. Then press F10 to save settings and exit again.

Then press and hold the power button to turn the laptop off. Then turn it back on and immediately press and hold the ALT key while tapping the F10 key.

If the SSD's hidden factory reset partition is still intact, a factory reset menu should appear to allow you to reset the system while trying to save your personal data or a total erase everything factory fresh installation.

If the reset men doesn't appear, then we'll have to try to reinstall the generic Windows version again from scratch.
