Your rig came loaded with four gigs of DDR3Ram, which operates from 800 to 2,000 Mhz. You'll have to see what you have. But I also found this:

"Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) HD Graphics: Onboard graphics card that is built in the new Arrandale CPUs (Core i3 / i5 / i7 Dual Cores). Depending on the model and Turbo Boost, the GMA HD is clocked between 166 and 766 MHz.

Only some 3D games with very low demands are playable with these cards."

If you're looking to turn this good, solid laptop into a high-end gamer, you're probably making a mistake.

I'm not too concerned about gaming I just want increase speed. It's a little pokey when a few apps are running. I was really wondering if I can use ddr3 1333 instead of the manuals recommendation of ddr3 1066. Thank you for your help!

Joe, I wouldn't go against the manufacturer's recommendation. Instead, dwonload the free program Win Patrol. It will tell you what your start-up programs are. Don't delete anything, but disable ones you know you don't want. Don't disable anything from Microsoft. Only disable a little at a time until you're sure you haven't fouled yourself up. That should speed things up.

Thank you for your advice which, of course I will follow. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks again.
