Trying to find out how much a new Swift 5 Motherboard would cost and if Acer fitted one - would the laptop still keep its warranty? Thanks

Warranty is different in different locales, so we can't really give good info on that. Which model of Swift 5 do you have? It should be something like SF5xx-xxx-xxxx and it's on the same sticker as the SN and SNID usually. Also, which specs do you have, they often have different motherboard part numbers for each CPU/memory combo.

It doesn't look like I have access to the SF515-52T manual yet, the SF515-51T uses one of eight different motherboards, with different memory (8GB or 16GB), different CPUs (i5 or i7) and different SSD sizes (256GB or 512GB). I expect yours will be similar. The guide should be available to me this week, or early next week, and I can look up the MB. I do need to know which specs yours has.

To be honest - Acer has replied with a cost. They now send off laptops to another company to be fixed and before vat or labour the price is dearer than buying the laptop brand new…… I am now considering a local repair man to have a look.

It doesn't look like there is an SF515-52T model. Maybe a SF514-52T or SF515-51T?
