Dear Acer Community,

Is it possible to reflash my BIOS outside Windows environment in for example DOS environment? I mean that I would like somehow burn DVD disk with bios image and simply reflash it. Is it possible?

Some days ago I updated my BIOS to 1.47 from 1.25 by Windows Update but issues are still there. I think that my BIOS can be infected by malware. Is it possible to reflash bios to the same version? My notebook is acer E5-575.

Thanks.

I think it should work with any dos or windows like put it in its usb, boot using it, go to its command prompt and excute it; but what makes you think the bios is infected?

More likely when Windows Update did the BIOS update, it messed up the settings. Try a reset to defaults (F9) followed by a save and exit (F10) to see if the issues are cleared up. We have seen this fairly often with those MS pushed BIOS updates, they aren't setup correctly for the computer.
