I installed a 2nd HDD for my sons pc.
It is a Seagate 2tb HDD.
But after a few months now it periodically will spin up really loud.
Loud enough that when we are playing games I can hear it like a air plane engine through his microphone on Discord.
Not sure if Bios setting or where to look.
I know it isn't the fan(checked location of noise), or CD/DVD drive(no disc and had him leave it open).

It's got to be a hardware issue with the drive then, it shouldn't be making any noises except the quiet whine of it spinning and the clicks as it moves the heads back and forth. You are likely still in warranty, but contact Seagate to be sure.
