Hi, so i just got this Acer Nitro, and I enabled the battery charge limit in care center to prolong my laptop's battery life. But as soon as I enable it and leave it down to 80%, the performance of my laptop dropped dramatically, it feels slow, sluggish and fps in all of my game is really bad (literally unplayable). Is it true that this feature do this? The battery icon shows that it is "80% available (plugged in)" and the battery light near the monitor is off, am I doing anything wrong? Thanks a lot in advance

@Kenny1234 battery charger limit should not affect the performance. Try to update the BIOS first to see it helps.

@AnhEZ28 it decrease my fps in-game and the overall performance of the laptop, everything feels sluggish. When I disable the feature and charge it up to 100%, everything goes back to normal. Side note: the battery icon says that it is "80% available (plugged in)"

@AnhEZ28 "Upgrading your system BIOS incorrectly could harm your Acer product. Please proceed with caution." is this a good choice to make? And which one should I choose? There are multiples

@Kenny1234 it will be safe if you keep your laptop plugged in during BIOS update and do not power off. You can take the latest one which is 1.08.

Maybe you can try changing Power Management in Nvidia Control Panel and set it to Prefer Maximum Performance. This solution worked for me.  In my case, The game will stutter as soon as the battery's LED light appear orange and get back to normal when it disappear and repeat the step. By change this option (My assume) Looks like the laptop will ignore about maintaining battery's power (of course your battery still drain while performing heavy task such as gaming) but at least no stutter FPS (Unless your battery is lower than 50% then the problem will occur again).
