I recently purchased a HyperX 16GB DDR4 Ram for my Predator Helios 300 PH315-51
It says it supports XMP with intel. So, I went to my bios to check for the feature and activate it but it's not present in the bios. So what do I do?

@harshgupta718 You can't activate xmp in the bios it's locked If your mobo supports jedec it will auto clock itself if not there's nothing u can do about it all laptop from all manufacturers have the bios locked you can only use xmp profiles on desktops with unlocked bios this means custom builds not pre built

ankkol2011 the bios on all laptops are locked and yes supports xmp2.0 on hyperx ram its automatically configured by the bios you can check it on cpu-z after installing the ram as i already stated above

My previous ram 32gb hyperx 2666 CL15 (7th gen and ryzen do not support 2666 it will clock down to 2400 only 8th gen up)

xapim it's an expensive deal to buy a 2666Mhz ram to check whether the Mobo supports xmp or not. Bcz if the mobo doesn't support 2666Mhz (i.e xmp profile) and runs at 2400MHz then a significant amount of money would be loss.
Bcz it would better if buy the non-gaming ram of 2400Mhz  of desired size.

And since your model is Acer Predator G3-572 it might not be true for PH315-51.

Could you provide a resource where someone tried a 2666Mhz ram  on the  Acer Predator PH315-51 model ?

After extensive digging, and backed by my 25 year background in PC repair engineering, I was quite confident that a matched set of 2 x 16GB of HyperX IMPACT CL15 2666Mhz ram would notably improve performance & throughput, and therefore be worth the $150CAD (Amazon last month) to set new personal performance benchmark, well above the Noname (Hynix? Samsung? I really can't remember what 2400mhz 8GB stock stick was in there) underperformer my Acer Predator PH315-51 initially came with.

Well, TBH, I'm likely being a bit had on that stock RAM.
But what goofball puts just 1 stick of 8GB of slower than it can handle RAM in a lower, mid tier gaming laptop to begin with, right??😋

    I'm a total power user.
Always running at 80~95% ram utilization before quadrupling in size with a ~15% speed bump, and even though NVME's are leaps and bounds faster than their near 50 year old mechanical brethren, is notably slower than RAM, specially when Wi diws has to constantly work a 25GB page file cause my ram bottomed out.... probably before boot was complete😅😂🤣

I KNOW this machine is now punching far beyond the numbers she had, day 1.

I will do my best to run both tests, and post some proof & CPU-Z screen grabs mid to end of next week when back home, but, if your impatient like me, or stumble across a lightening deal of sorts for some 2666 sodimnms, do yourself a favor.
    Grab them.
Hands down the biggest, best, most noticable, yet not the most expensive upgrade this little hellfire got from me!!

    Worth every penny!!

Seawolk so you have modded your bios thats not officially allowed  by any manufacturer neither even to be discussed in this community on how to do it or post about it

    Translated from Russian to English

No, this is the original bios. In order to open these settings, you must quickly press a certain key combination when loading.

Go into the bios, turn off the power button, turn it on and quickly press the keys in turn:

    F4 4 R F V F5 5 T G B F6 6 Y H N

    then press F2

    This will open additional settings.

It may not work the first time, try a few times ;)

That is fake theres no codes to unlock bios neither any official way (only acer engineers themselves can do it if they needed to) anything applied will not be saved at all so its completely fake only way to unlock a bios its to dump it mod it and re flash it (also might brick the laptop permanently)
which its not allowed by any manufacturer as i have already mentioned above and read the ACUA youre breaking the rules by even just mentioning it and posting pics and any guides to do so
