I am currently attempting to help a friend. Tablet B1-810

It was explained to me that they attempted a Factory Reset and now the only thing that comes up is a black screen with a displayed message of "No Bootable Device. Hit any key.

Screen is 100% unresponsive. I have a theory but that does me no good at the moment. Tablet is out of warranty and I am not going to invest anything financial into this device.

What I would like to know is, does anyone know of an OS that can be downloaded and installed via a Desktop PC?

PS - I have attempted numerous "Hold down the power button, along with Volume Up and Down key's"...All end with the same result.....black screen with error message.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

@banff_springs you can try contact Acer for reinstalling the tablet ROM.

I have tried to call/chat email and it all requires payment. I was hoping for an image of the OS so I could reinstall myself. Unit is 8 years old, out of warranty and everything Acer will do for me will cost me more than what the unit is worth. Appreciate your assistance.

@banff_springs if that costs too much, then you can find its firmware online and flash it.

IIRC the B1-810 android version was Kit Kat and Acer never provided an update so they never posted a firmware image. The only route to get the original firmware image would be through Acer support, but it's old enough they may no longer have it in stock.
