You can use up to a 16GB DDR4 sodimm 2666MHz or faster in the replaceable RAM socket.

If that model already ships with 8 GB will it be OK to add 16GB extra taking it to 22GB? The maximum I understand for the model is 20GB.

    Hi,

    I desire to upgrade A515-45-R3XV with more 8Gb DDR4/3200 CL 22.
Can i buy any brad, any model  that have ddr4/3200/cl22?
I find a power shell command and i know that i have Hynix with CL22 .
BUT is important to add new ram with tha same nuber of bank? 1x8, 2x16, e.g.) The Acer tehnical support can counsel me about that and how to choose for so plenty offer of memory
Dram Configuration (512x8, 1024x8, 2048x8) of a new RAM to be in accord with onboard RAM.
It is so expensive to add a very small chips as SPD for onboardRAM(Acer please tell me)
Can i block from BIOS the onboard RAM after insert new one? Dual chanel will be after insert DDR4 module, 8Gb or 16GB?

A part number of DDR4 module will be help full. OR teach me to ask to DDR RAM provider wat i need?

    Thank you!

    PS: Nice and  good product!

GPUz is sometimes inaccurate. Assume v3 to be safe.

Sorry SysInfo freeware sometimes doesn't  report accurately. It just a fact of freeware life especially with newer machines. Try other freeware SysInfo probes like HWInfo to help remove some of the ambiguity in 'you get  what you pay for' freeware.

Yes ! HWInfo report corectly , Vega is on PCIe v4, but i see 128 bit memory and I have only 8 GB onboard solder, AS 64 bit band NO 128.

#JackE did you can confirm that PCIe where is insert M2 NVME (in my case WD PCIe v3 x4) IS PCIe v4 x 4. FOR future upgrade to buy a M2 NVME PCIe v4 x 4?
    Thank you!

The Western Digital blue should have a better chance of working properly than the newer NVME 4x4 just because newer technology sometimes still have more bugs. So you must take your chances and try it. Nothing is 100% guaranteed. :)

Yes ! I have try to understand how ACER allocate resources for this machine.

I try to understand  WHY they allocate PCIe v4 x16 for two channel of AMD SATA AHCI controller and PCIe v3 x 4 form M2 slot????

Please ,  rewrite a bios update that correct that

Where to find ()nearly ROMANIA) a ACER store to buy a KN.8GB0G.069, a ddr 4 8 gb. In Romania there are selling only in the only service store(monopol), and i receive 4 month warranty, and this module cost @ least 16Gb of the expensive DDR??? I look for solution

Sorry, we are just Acer users here trying to help other Acer users such as yourself. We are not Acer employees, store clerks, customer service representatives. technical support  contractors or authorized Acer parts suppliers who have any control or influence over proprietary software, firmware, pricing or availability.  All I can advise is that the WesternDigital blue series NVME cards probably have a better chance of working properly in your machine than those claiming much higher speeds..
