My Acer Aspire 3 start up is super slow...
...like 20 minutes. The computer had been running great since I bought it in 2012. I've known about the onboard 20 GB SSD drive, but never messed with it; until a few days ago. I changed the setting from offline to online; gave it a drive letter designation and tried format the drive (I figured I'd use it for storage like my external drives), but the formatting failed. At some point in the process everything slowed way down; especially in "Computer Management". Disk management now takes about an hour just to get to where you see the SATA and SSD drives (and I get 'not responding' if I try to do something). I figured all the slow running was due to me trying to change the SSD. I did a system restore yesterday hoping it would reset everything. It did except the SSD still says "online" and I still have the slow performance issues. I can't get it set to offline. Is there some way to do this; or disable the darn thing? I'm running Windows 10. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
