Can I use any stylus with the Acer Spin 311 - 3H?

I just Bought a Spin 311 3H and it came with an EMR stylus but it doesn't seem to work.  What type of stylus can I use with this Chromebook?

    I don't see any indication in the specs why an active stylus would work at all. It's a standard multi-touch capacitive screen and should work with your fingers or a pen with the blunt tip, not with an active stylus. Where was the stylus in the packaging?

    It was in the shipping box, not the Acer box.
