Hi you all!
I have an Acer Nitro 5 an515-45-r0yq which I can't seem to connect to a second external monitor (the HDMI to HDMI cable connets a first external monitor successfully, but nothing seems to work if I want to connect another one).
With my previous laptop, I used a USB-C to HDMI adapter (https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B083Z8QBJ5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1), but it doesn't work with this laptop anymore because it has no audio-video porting through USB-C (or at least that's what I understood so far; the issue seems to be that my USB-C port doesn't support Thunderbolt).
So I tried with a USB-C hub + USB-C to USB-A adapter (https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B08SVTY42W/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ; https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B08NYPWCGV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) but it didn't work either.
Then I purchased an USB-A to HDMI adapter (
https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B08X4387LB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) but again, nothing.
Please tell me there's a solution somewhere, I'm starting to lose hope T.T
I hope I explained everything correctly, I'm not a native english speaker nor a computer expert whatsoever, so feel free to ask me for futher explanation about my problem if wish to help.
Thanks a lot! D

    Hi @Echoelin,

May I know the full model name of your monitor.

    Hi all,

Thank you @Echoelin, will leverage your post because I'm having the same issue with the AN515-45 that I bought 4 days ago when I try to connect my Lenovo ThinkVision p24h-10 (works perfectly with the HDMI, cannot make it work via USB).

Indeed the USB-C doesn't support video (annoying, should have checked that before buying the laptop).

Tried several adapters and combinations for the second monitor via the regular USB port (USB>HDMI, USB>USB-C>HDMI, USB>USB-C>DPKJ) but nothing works. Updated all the drivers with Driver Reviver, called Acer Support and we re-installed the NVIDIA driver manually.

I'm stuck to the point that I do not know what else to do so I certainly welcome any suggestions. Anyone has bought any specific USB>HDMI adapter that worked with your Nitro 5? Starting to wonder if I should check some other Acer laptop with better features...

    Thanks all!

I can't undarstand how is acer not even adressing this ? Like What is the point on Having an RTX 3080 with only HDMI port on top of that They did not even put MIni Display Port to save money ? Like WTF ? I have 5900HX with RTX 3080 model and that HDMI port is beyond awfull because it does not support my monitor. That being huawei mateview 28 One of the best monitors sadly Acer's awful svaving money on small things once again has proven to make turn to another Brand ! >Just because save 30€ on 2100€ laptop Congrats ACER you really have learned so very little on how to make a laptop that does not suck..
