    Congrats, you are doing well!

I have flagged Resizeable Bar Support with ACER support and have been advised its been "escalated to the developers" so maybe we will get some official support, it may just be a bit slow!

For what it's worth, I am still waiting for an update on this. I have been trying to chase it up, but Acer's current support system (no easy way to access a single ticket without the system dying, no live chat etc) is very poor.

I am sending responses to the email response I did get, but if I hear anything I will let you know.

Frankly, this is a good machine let down by a few things:
    1) BIOS is very restrictive, and doesn't even seem to support XMP which is surprising as it comes with 3200MHz memory, running at 2666MHz. Frustrating as with a Z490 and I7-10700k, it could happily run at 3200MHz (XMP is mentioned in the BIOS, but is greyed out so could also be the machine DOES support XMP BUT this RAM doesn't have XMP, without another set at hand to test though...)
2)The machine really needs a VBIOS/BIOS update to support Resizeable BAR given how new the machine is, and how big a deal AMD AND NVidia are making of this feature.
3)The VRAM cooling is pretty terrible albeit it DOES do a good job of cooling the GPU itself.
    4) The CPU cooling is OK, but could do with a chunkier radiator/more fans or better positioning (top mount would have been better, AND possible). As it is the 'overclock' settings are pretty unusable due to lack of control and the extreme levels of noise it sets.

Overall I like the machine, I am glad I got a several hundred pound discount though; I'd have been disappointed at full price, especially as realistically I'd rather have gone Ryzen 5***.

One thing I will say though is that if the support situation improves after the COVID situation passes; and I decide to keep the machine, the 3 year warranty upgrade is actually very affordable right now; almost worth taking just to cover the GPU alone given how stupid GPU prices are right now and are expected to be until well into next year.

Small aside I realised the memory is actually running at 2933mhz not 2666mhz, but still not the 3200MHz the memory is rated for.

Good news - I just got a response advising Resizeable BAR will be implemented in August 2021. So...knowing current slippage we should see it by end of year haha

Good question and exactly what I was thinking while sipping my 1st coffee of the day.

If Acer cannot or will not provide us a new BIOS in time, they should at least let us know which BIOS from another manufacturer can be used. Here's a LINK to a GPU-Z validation that I did for PO3-620's 3070. I have attached the info below as well, so there is no need to click any links if someone doesn't want to.

The board layout/PCB looks reference to my untrained eye. Correct me if I am wrong... pretty please?

Does anyone here have any idea if there is available waterblock for this rtx3070 gpu? I'm planning to watercool my gpu, but i can't find the specific model for this.

The mounting screw of the waterblock and gpu pcb looks the same, the the rest of the location of the others screws are different.

August came and went. No ReBAR to be found. Not surprised. ^^

Yes, same, unfortunately. Acer Support is not the best in this regards.
I did follow up my original email chain with them and was advised it has been escalated to a solutions manager.
Now whether that will actually resolve or make things go faster is anyone's guess.

I actually just got a follow up - I am UK based for reference
"... followed up with the Solutions Manager.

Kindly note that this has been escalated to our Team in Taiwan for a release schedule, other countries are also asking the same thing."

So it would seem the delay here is the Taiwan/BIOS/VBIOS dev teams; as it sounds like the UK and other regional offices are also asking for updates on this, as enough people are asking.

To be honest, not unexpected as this was quite a big headline update from both Red/Green team, with even some gaming laptops now supporting it.

Unfortunately still no update on this, pretty dissapointing support for a machine that RRP was costing £2200/2600 Euros (I have the PO5).

I've picked up extended warranty because that could be useful, but it does make me question the general support, developers and manpower Acer puts behind it's systems. They've not even bothered listing/vetting newer drivers for months.

I realise COVID is causing issues, delays etc due to WFH etc, but the fact it's now been months shows just how little they prioritise pre-existing customers IMO.

    Merry Christmas all!

Sell and forget, unfortunately this is the policy of this type of tech companies. A few days ago it was possible to select windows 11 on the support side of this model, ok, only acer care center was listed, but now...disappeared again.

Hi everyone. Approaching 2022. Anyone heard anything on GPU BIOS update for the RTX3070 in the P03-620? The card now resides in a new build so no bottlenecks remaining from the original motherboard...@gotbanned are you still here?

Still here, but don't really know why. ^^ I try to offer little help now and then, although "Old Bill" and boys do a pretty good job at it already.

There's no official rebar support yet. All you can do is to wait or flash a BIOS ment for a almost identical Zotac card. I don't recommend anyone to do it, but some did and at least the world did not end.

(Don't do it. There is a possibility that it will brick the card.)

"Old Bill" huh? :) You should have heard one of the pool league players a couple of weeks ago. We finished our set and he went outside for a smoke. Commented to one of my team mates "that old guy really cleaned my clock". ;)
And no, don't try an off brand BIOS update unless your Predator is your second machine and it was just going to go to the thrift store anyway... (And even then don't do, the thrift store owner will just be ***** when nothing works).
Click on "Like" if you find my answer useful or click on "Yes" if it answers your question.

It is, but I have to say, having experienced Dell, HP and many other company's after support; this is ranking right down near the bottom. Yes it's usual for you to not be top priority; but to be given SO little aftersupport and essentially dumped almost as soon as the machine initially hit pre-release, especially on one of the higher end systems, is pretty poor.

It's a shame because the machine in general is pretty decent. Yes the motherboard BIOS and lack of options are terrible (which is unfortunately fairly standard for the larger suppliers); and should die in a fire, along with non-standard form factor components. Also I personally think they should have opted for a 240MM AIO rather than the 120MM which struggles to keep a 10700K in check, at least without sounding like a jet engine under load, especially when allowed to run at higher boost speeds; but otherwise overall the machine is not terrible; and the 120MM AIO is at least not a complete disaster like the Intel stock low profile cooler SOME machines come with, especially if coupled with a RAM upgrade option; the main issue is lack of support; and I don't mean warranty duration which was at least a cheap upgrade.

Latest update as of approximately 1 hour ago:
"Please note that I have followed up with the Solutions Manager.

Roughly the same answer given previously, seems like the regional support KNOW this is an issue and people are asking; more a case of Taiwan/Head Office just haven't rolled out the necessary files/BIOS/VBIOS.

Don´t waste your time. I did several tests with my RTX 3070 in another environment with MSI Board B550 chipset, PCIe 4.0 and Ryzen 5800X, activated resizable bar. What i have compared: Zotac AMP HOLO RB enabled VBIOS, Zotac TWIN EDGE OC RB enabled VBIOS and the original VBIOS RB disabled. Result in 3DMARK TIME SPY and PORT ROYAL: The original VBIOS is beating both Zotac VBIOS, always the winner.

I think that there won't be a BIOS update due to the wide spread of OEM manufacturers, Acer would have to release too many variants.
