Google search keywords sf314-41 & battery for vendors who ship to your location.

Genuine?  ACER uses and often labels those made by manufacturers  like Panasonic, LG & Samsung.

Yes... I saw your previous post also.
Today I called the Acer service center technician. He told me that it could be a motherboard issue, if the battery charge LED doesn't come up at all. He asked me to get it checked by him. There is no repair facility for motherboard available with him. He can only replace the motherboard and charge a hefty amount, if it is found faulty after he diagnoses. 😐 Planning to go to him tomorrow. 😶

First have him check with a new battery  before he does any work on motherboard.

I haven't visited the service center yet... due to some personal work.
I have removed the battery. It has 4 sets of coloured wires in the connector. I have checked the voltage across each wire. (between black 1 and red 1... black 2 and red 2...black 1 and blue... black 2 and blue... and so on).
I am getting 0 volt between any 2 terminals. What does this indicate? Is it not getting charged and hence depleted.? ... or is it completely dead?

    >>> i shut down the laptop in the morning. Everything was normal. But in the evening, the laptop is completely dead>>>

As already mentioned earlier, if the battery somehow drained to less than the critical 5% charge level during this morning-to-evening period, it may be permanently damaged and its internal controller won't allow it to charge due to the danger of a battery fire.

And as already suggested before, if it was my machine I would spend $30-40usd and replace the battery with a new one to see if it fixes the problem. But it's not my machine. So you have to decide if you want to instead spend more time and money on finding damage to the mainboard when in fact it might be the battery that is damaged.

Thank you for providing such a clear explanation. I will revert to you with my decision after a while. 😊
