hello, my acer nitro 5 hasn't been charging, and everytime I try turning it on it gives me a "critical low battery" message on the display. I can't turn it on because the battery is dead, I also don't have a battery reset pinhole. please help

    Hi @ Astrafly

    1. Turn OFF the unit.
    2. Unplug the charger.
    3. At the bottom there will be a tiny pin hole with battery sign close to it take a pin or paper clip and insert into it hold that button for 20-30 seconds. Then turn ON the unit and check.

    Hi @Astrafly,

Are you getting any light indication when charger is connected.

Try to reset the battery first like below:

AN515-55 charging lights (S3 state is when laptop is in Sleep mode)

If the reset doesn’t reinstate the charging then its either your battery, check battery if its not swollen and/or its plug is not corroded and/or the plug is plugged in properly, as that could be causes of the battery not charging also, it could be that the internal charging section of your laptop and its circuitries are not functioning and/or are shorted and components are burned out and need replacing. Get an experienced tech that has all the tools and that has the experience in analysing, replacing micro components to look at it,as you can’t fix anything yourself no matter what you do.
