The laptop Im using is Acer TravelMate P245-M and unfortunately its RAM is lower as what is required for my future use. On the other hand, I have a defective laptop which still has its ram and the model is Acer Aspire E1-451G. Can I use the ram from my defective laptop? since  I have read that acer travelmate p245-m has 2 RAM slots.

Yes, they both use DDR3L sodimm modules. However, the E1 was originally equipped with only 2GB sodimms. To be sure of what you have in each, run the crucial.com RAM scanner on both machines. DDR3L sodimms are very inexpensive now so you might want to consider upgrading with new sodimms.
