The latest version would be 96.0.4664.77. If you're looking at 94.0.4606.124 try updating, if it's not updating, maybe your device has stopped receiving updates because the device could be old for new updates, or wait untill update goes wide for all Chromebooks.

It looks like I have a problem then...

    - I have an almost new Acer Chromebook Spin 513
    - It gets updates until June/2029
    - I have tried (several times now) to check manually possible availability of Chrome OS updates
    - It checks and says Chromebook is up-to-date and the version is  94.0.4606.124

What could be the problem, what should I try?

I think this might have something to do with my "problem"...

    Hi @JNFin,

    Check for updates yourself

    1. Turn on your Chromebook.
    2. Connect your Chromebook to Wi-Fi.
    3. At the bottom right, select the time.
    4. Select Settings .
    5. At the bottom of the left panel, select About Chrome OS.
    6. Under "Google Chrome OS," you'll find which version of the Chrome operating system your Chromebook uses.
    7. Select Check for updates.
    8. If your Chromebook finds a software update, it will start to download automatically.

Easwar, that's exactly what I have done.

96 still not available.. rollout still halted by Google? Even not officially stated by Google.

I would suggest you to check if the device is in Developer mode. If yes, the chances in receiving the update may be less.

I would suggest you to try and power wash and check (do take backup of any offline files)

    Please check and update us.

While booting I do not see any scary warning screen, so my Chromebook is not in developer mode, right? I have not ever even tried it (not a sw geek).

    Stable channel in use.

Someone commented that one should wait for days... 96 possibly now available but distribution propably not available to everyone at the same time.

its true. Updates are rolled out depending on location..

if you wish to check for possible early option then you can try powerwash..
