    Hi there!

When does your PC freeze? While gaming on running something CPU intensive? Try to keep an eye on CPU and GPU temps. My guess is that CPU is thermally throttling and that's what is causing freezing and stuttering.

Acer uses new ATX12VO power supplies, which (if made well and with good components) should be more than enough for 3070. I know NVIDIA recommends more powerful units, but the new and old PSUs can't be compared directly watt to watt.

It's a brand new computer and the GPU was 70c and the cpu was 40

    It's while gaming.

Does anyone know how to enable xmp? The bios seems to give me no options for it.

OP, those temps are good so it's not that. When does it do this? All the time or after a while?

Could it be that one of the RAM sticks is not properly installed? Go to "Task Manager" and over there to the "Performance" leaf. What does it say in "Memory" about "Speed" and "Slots used"? See the pic below for reference.

You may also want to check that the RAM modules are in right slots. For this you need to remove the side panel and take a look at your manual. There is a specific order that gives the best performance, although running RAM in single channel should not cause any freezes.

If you are downloading something at full speed while gaming, that can also cause some stuttering. VPN can lower d/l speeds and increase lag, but I don't think this is what is going on.

If you have updated your drivers and Windows... I don't really know what is going on. But I think you should list all the components on your PC, so someone may be able to help you.

Sorry but it can't be done. The BIOS on these things is so limited. :(
