I'm attempting to use my landlord's wifi for my Acer Chromebook. It tells me that I may be required to sign in and opens the Captive Portal Authorization window, but says the dnd address cannot be found.  I'm able to log in with my android phone no problem and Google account says it's synced to other devices. I've tried everything I've seen online. Updated the system, forgot the network and re-added it, forgot it, turned off computer and restarted and reconnected the wifi, all to no avail. I need help please!

Which version of Chrome is installed? I know Chrome had an issue with those networks a while ago.

I followed your thread and went through the whole post. I got it working by manually configuring my IP address to what was on my phone for the wifi network, then "forgetting" the wifi and re-adding it.

    Thanks for the direction!

OK, so it wasn't getting a good lease from the DHCP server. That's unusual but not unheard of...
