The problem I have in included in several of these images, I can't seem to find the proper display settings for my device and it's making it hard to read, play games and etc. I have an Aspire a515-43 and have recently factory reset my device due to previous virus issues. This has been going on for about...3 days now? No matter the text size, the resolution display or such. Any help is appreciated. The cursor icon sometimes will even go away if I drag it to the black area. https://postimg.cc/DmGMwyPB for the image

Open Device Manager. Do you see any red or yellow warnings?

Right click empty desktop area. Click display settings. What's the 'recommended' resolution?

1920x1080. Except I've done this one, and it still presents the black sides and I found upping my resolution fixes it a bit, but the text gets even smaller.

Smaller text at higher resolutions is normal. But this can be adjusted to some degree on the desktop. What resolution options are presented in display resolution dropdown ? A screenshot of the upper end would be helpful.
