i can't exactly pinpoint the problem here. We just got this device almost a month ago and ever since then its been randomly freezing and sometimes does the blue restart screen.

recently, ive noticed it also occured when i played music. I was streaming music from my Google Play account using the gmusic app whenthe the freeze up occured and the music made a glitching noise.

so i restarted and continued using the laptop, only this time instead of using the gmuisc app, i played music that was in my storage using Windows Media Player and shortly after the same thing occured.

any ideas of what i could do to make this stop??

Freezing PC to my knowledge can mean a few things.

1: it may be the hard drive the PC is not reading it. You can do a few things.

1: click on windows search button

    2: type cmd

3: in cmd type chkdsk (i think or search google check disk with cmd) you can also check for windows corrupted files by typing in cmd sfc /scannow

4: If these don't work and you got the laptop brand new it should have A recovery button. If you have windows 8 find that and try restore your system to factory settings.

If these don't work it can also be the ram but in a new system this is rare or maybe the hard drive could be faulty.

Let me know if any of these work.

    Ok no problem Smiley Wink

If you tun into anymore problems you can contact acer forums again.

When I have issues with my machine I normally just run a system restore 80% of the time that works if its not a hardware problem.

    alright

back again. im not sure if its weather ive been using this device all day or that it probably can't withstand big tasks like music or video chatting ,but my device froze like 2 times today because of a "DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION"

after some research, i see there are several ways to solve this problem but im not sure which way is right for me. any ideas??
