PC turns on then off almost immediately

Installed a new cpu cooler which required me to remove the motherboard & replace the backplate which was superglued to the motherboard for some stupid reason.

after reassembling the pc with new cooler, plugged everything in, i turn it on and it turns off like half a second later. during that second, the LEDs & fans turn on, the GPU light comes on. PC is going to a local repair shop soon, but just curious if acer themselves would take it in for repairs since it's after the 1year warranty & replaced their garbage stock cooler.

Fect you must be taking about an Acer desktop? So what model is it? As you must have damaged the mobo and some circuitries at the back of the mobo that could relate to power on switching’s, as you could have forced off the CPU fan backplate too much and caused an invisible to the eye hairline crack! Mobos are very delicate and you can’t use force onto them, take your motherboard to an experienced tech that has micro soldering equipment and a microscope so that he can inspect and fix it, as your mobo must have a cracked plate and cracked circuitry, as a microscopic crack is all that it takes (which you will never ever be able to see) to do what is happening to your system.

Hi @ FectReset the power to the monitor by removing all power from it. Then press and hold in the power button 20 seconds. Connect the monitor to a power source and turn it on.

I am not having issues with a monitor, the post is about a computer. though I have tried that on my computer already.

    Hi @Fect,

Have you checked that the RAM is seated properly? Is there any visible damage to the motherboard?
