mrmurphy as @StevenGen stated above you would probably need to upgrade your psu also and maybe see whats the  max cpu supported by your mobo and upgrade the gpu to the also max supported one by the mobo but unfortunately this may come to you with a really high cost most probably not really worth it as the money you would spend upgrading would probably be enough to get a newer one anyways its up to you and if your question was answered please accept the answer(s) that help you solve your issue to mark this thread as solved so others with similar issues/questions would be able to find it quickly when searching  :)

You cant change a graphics card since they are soldered into the motherboard. Though you can increase your gpu power by connecting an external gpu.

As those unit comes with different Specs, please help me with the specs you've got, you can swap your Nvidia graphic and with your Radeon R9 360, you just had to install the drivers for the AMD GPU, that's it. Why don't you upgrade to a better one instead of balancing the rig to run latest games?

@mrmurphy Do you have the specs of the PSU? can you help me with the first ten characters of the your SN as well? You can definitely swap the GPU, my friend. PSU plays a role in distributing power to the high end gpu. for example, low profile like 710 GT doesn't need power cable plugged in, but RTXs does. I hope it gives you an idea. having 650 is good. having 750 is better for more upgrades.

mrmurphy with your Predator G3-710 that has the i5-6400 and the AMD Radeon R9 360 OEM (which is not listed as an OEM GPU on the G3-710’s SG) your governing criteria to upgrade a GPU is your PSU, the Predator G3-710 came OEM with either a 500W or a 750W PSU and these PSU’s are adequate enough especially the 750W but, these GPU's need a PCIe 6+2 pin plug that the Predator G3-710 OEM PSU might not have as the OEM PSU is more than adequate for the R9 360 OEM GPU card that requires a suggested PSU of 250W, so check your OEM PSU if it has those GPU power plugs and if not then you willhave to upgrade the PSU to the newer PSU on the market.

Btw the other OEM GPU cards that were fitted to the Predator G3-710 were:

    • NVidia GTX 1060 that has a TDP of 120W and will have a 300% superior performance and needs a 300W PSU
    • NVidia GTX 1070 that has a TDP of 180W and will give you a 490% superior performance
    • NVidia GTX 1080 that has a TDP of 180W that has 575% superior performance and needs a 450W PSU.

What I would suggest (especially with the ridiculous prices of GPU cards today) is for you to look at these Acer fitted OEM alternative cards as they are proven to work with your Predator G3-710 and will give you a far superior performance increase over your AMD Radeon R9 360 GPU.

Thank you so much.. This is really helpful. I have the 500 watt psu.. And will look to use one of the upgrades you suggested.
    Thanks
