I have plugged in through the HDMI port a second monitor.  Windows 10 finds it.  But when I boot to Linux Mint it doesn't see the external monitor.  I have gone to Display in Mint and it doesn't identify that there is a second monitor plugged in.  How can I fix that?

Check in Mint to verify it can talk to your NVIDIA GPU, which should be handling your external ports. It may not be using it, so can't see them...

Not sure how to check that other than I searched and found NVIDEA X Server Settings app and it shows this, which probably is indicating a problem.

Problem appears fixed with a linux kernel upgrade to 5.11 through the Mint Upgrade Manager.
