So I recently bought a nitro 5 an515-57 like 3 days ago and have been gaming quite a lot on it with cpu temperatures sitting 80to90 while gaming and 50 to 55 on idle and wanted to know if this is a normal thing since I’m pretty new to gaming laptops and have payed, well huge amount of money for the laptop and would like it to last I’ll be honest.. 3 years at least
 my specs are
cpu intel i7-11800h
gpu RTX 3060 laptop gpu 6gb ram
16 ddr4 ram , 1tb SSD
i have a cooling pad . Didn’t replace the thermal paste

Thanks In advance

90ish is in the high range but ok , it's around 96 it will start to slow down and above 100/105 is the max for the laptop chips :)

    80s is pretty good!

I have same computer as yours and I would say that's regular. I use to have these temperatures while playing. I can play many hours this way without any troubles of heating. I was worry at first, just like you and bought a KLIM Halo to cool my computer but I think it's not even necessary.
I hope it could help you or comfort you.

    Best regards.
