    Yes it supports dual channel. However, it often works better with the same capacity sodimm and latency as the on-board soldered RAM capacity.

    One easy way to tell is go to Task Manager. Look at the Memory section of the Performance tab. It indicates the frequency that your memory is running.

    Sometimes people using RAM speed higher than that is indicated by the Performance tab and still getting the same speed indicated, as speed restricted by the motherboard or the CPU, whichever is slower.
