They say hit f2 or DEL key at Aspire LOGO in Aspire R5-571T, but neither one works.  Always boots into Windows.

Also tried W10 Advanced Startup to boot from a thumb drive but that also only boots to Windows, but that might be the thumb drive.  It was just created and has not been tested at all yet.

No need to try the DEL key, your Aspire R5-571T uses the F2 key to enter the BIOS. Try clicking it over and over again from when you first turn it on until the BIOS menu appears. There is a small window of time when it's actually looking for the keypress. In order to boot from a different drive you need to have the F12 Boot Menu enabled in the BIOS and it's disabled by default. What are you planning on doing once in the BIOS?

Sorry for the late reply.  No notification you answered.  Thank you for the info.  I need to boot from a USB thumb drive.  I have tried F2 as you suggest.  Will try again, and come back.

no joy.  Clicked RESTART, got Acer LOGO, and started tapping F2.  Ended up at W10 desktop.

Just now realized .... won't work on a restart.  Power on does work.  Shut down, power on, Acer Logo, F2 gets me into bios.
