I recently purchased Aspire 515 -56 i5 8 gb ram and iris xe graphics...during normal usage zoom+ ms office + edge, the screen suddenly went black with a long whirring sound and the keyboard lit up...no other key combination was working so I had to long press the power button and restart. This happened again after a few hours. Anyone knows the reason and how to solve this?

If your laptop has an user accessible memory slot and a memory module is there, then I'll suggest reseating the memory module. If the original memory is soldered to the motherboard (not user accessible), then I'll suggest contact Acer for warranty. If the laptop is still within returnable period of the seller, I'll return it to the seller for a refund.

Do not do something else that may void your warranty.

I had same situation for months (it happened once a week or once a two weeks) and decided to give it under warranty :)
