Hello everyone.

I have an Acer Aspire 3 A315-41-R9YH.  It has an AMD Ryzen 7 2700U with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx - 2.2 GHz

The display properties show dedicated video memory of 1GB.  I need this to be 2GB minimum for a game I'd like to run.  I'm aware that I can't change this in the BIOS.

Elsewhere, I've read that on some laptop models, increasing RAM also increased dedicated video memory because more memory is made available for video.  I've noticed that of the 8GB my laptop has, 6.9 is usable and I'm guessing (hoping) that the missing GB is being used for dedicated video.

So, the main question is:
Will upgrading my laptop to 16GB RAM give me the 2GB dedicated video memory I need?
Or is there another way to get the 2GB required?

Thanks in advance.

Nope, I believe that model has dedicated video memory, not shared with system memory. :(
