Dock W510 has stopped working

Yesterday I noticed that while my 6 months old Acer W510 was docked, the battery completely drained of both the tablet and the dock.

After installing the latest drivers the tablet is now working fine (not docked) however the keyboard-dock has stopped working completely.

I cannot charge it or when connected to the tablet it is not recogonized and does not function at all.
As a tip I saw in the forum to restart the tablet while docked, but this also did not help.

I do not mind to send it in for repairs, but before I do that I was wondering if there was an easier solution out there (which I was unable to find on Google).

Thank you Philman. I will send it to Acer Technical support.

Did you have a/c  power connected to the dock ? OTOH I have seen li-on batteries develop an internal short. That would drain the tablet battery quickly and prevent the dock from powering up. I suspect that something would get hot.

Yes padgett, I had the a/c power connected to the dock.
