Recently upgraded to Win 7 Ultimate and Dolby profile selector has stopped working

Any help would be appreciated!

Reinstallation of Dolby Advanced Audio V2 has been successful *but* the program still fails to run.

The moment the installation finishes, Windows informs me that the Dolby Profile Selector has stopped responding.

Without the audio boost provided from the program, even with the volume maxed out it is still extremely quiet.

Suggestions?

You can try the following...go to control panel...under "Sytem and Security" you should see "find and fix problems"...click to enter and see "Hardware and Sound"...there are various options to choose that may help..."configure a device" and "troubleshoot audio playback" are a couple that may be of use.
