    Which Swift 3 model do you have? There have been hundreds of them. :) It should be something like SF3xx-xxx-xxxx. Which language is it set to? Keyboards are different for different languages. It's possible there isn't a play/pause button be default with your keyboard.

    Heheh, no problem. I've asked the moderators to clear the 'solved' so you can do it at the appropriate point.  :)
    Which locale are you in? There are different keyboard for just about each different language. This describes the defaults for US/International:
    As you can see there's no pause or play on those keys. Which software are you using? When those media keys aren't on the keyboard the apps use their own defaults. Often they use the Windows standard which is Ctrl + Alt + ↓ (cursor down).

    @billsey ty for everything but this doesn't help me, I try ctrl + alt cursor down but also it's not working. On my keyboard* "F8" is clear is there any way to make my own shortcut?
    * my keyboard is en/ar

    F8 being clear just means your model doesn't have a keyboard backlight. Check the documentation to the playback program, maybe they have a hot key or will let you assign one.

    no, I meant is there any way to remap the keyboard? I looking for a way to change the keyboard layout without software but I didn't reach anything. I think I will stop trying to solve this problem and stop/play media manually (:

    Media functions aren't part of the normal key mapping. They typically have some other software looking for that key combo to launch the media function. So a keyboard remapping wouldn't help unless you were also running the media control background app.
