My new Acer a315-22 is slow and cpu is usage is 100%

Hi.
Just bought my new Acer and i have a big problem already.
From the beginning it's very slow and i noticed that cpu usage is 100% when JUST firefox is running.
All updates are done.

What version of Windows release?
If it only occurs in Firefox, have you tried other previous versions?
Did you test running Firefox in safe mode?

Open ControlPanel. Programs. Uninstall non-Microsoft antivirus scanners like McAfee and Nortons. Most users don't need them. Jack E/NJ

it was just an example, laptop is lagging all the time, no matter what program is on. I already uninstall Norton, still the same problem.

Did you use Norton removal tool to uninstall Norton? If not, I would suggest you to reinstall Norton and use the tool to uninstall it completely(without any reminiscent files). Download the tool, reinstall Norton, reboot and run the removal tool again and uninstall.

1- all drivers and Windows (1903 or 1909) must be properly updated
2- the device must be set to use the Windows high performance power plan
3- the battery must be set to advanced power options for maximum performance
4- the device must be connected directly to an exclusive power outlet, properly grounded without any adapter
Access MSCONFIG and disable ALL applications that start with the system.
Also disable all non-Microsoft services.
Uninstall any antivirus you have installed and leave only Windows native protection.
Restart and do a test.

Bough A315-22-91KD last summer.
It was soooo ssssllllloooooww out of the box.
Just crawling.
Adding 8GB RAM - no change.
Out of the box without any additional applications.
Uninstalling preinstalled applications makes no difference.
This PC is great for training patience.
My another 6 year old laptop is much more robust.
Somehow the mouse touch pad turns of on its own and could not be reactivated with Fn...
Very disappointed.

And it seems to be better after this procedure.
But still have to use an external mouse.

Touch pad started to work after a BIOS update.
It seems that the BIOS update and the AMD-Software-Adrenalin returned this hopeless Aspire 3 A315-22-91KD to life.
My guess that the "ALT+F10 cold boot reset" - is a good idea, though it will restore laptop to its "Factory" hopeless sluggish perfomance...

Congrats. Thanks for reporting back. Did you try to turn the touchpad on with the FN+F7 toggle key combo before you updated the BIOS?

Sure, I tried to switch the touch pad with "FN+F7" before upgrading the BIOS.
I think it will be a help if Acer in its downloads have a link to:

Or preinstall drivers coming with "AMD-Software-Adrenalin".
