Hey guys,
I have following problem, using Acer Nitro XV253QPBMIIPRZX as external monitor for my m1 macbook pro, I found strange issue on this page https://mui.com/components/material-icons/ with dark mode on (top right corner). After like 5secs I can notice 1mm width vertical lines across whole screen. When I switch webpage to lets say lighter, top left corner where you have apple logo is blinking rapidly, moreover some of the fields/things from the previous page can be seen on the new page as some kind of spectrum, but minute after minute these barely visible things slowly disappearing for good. When I left laptop on that page for longer period of time, Ive noticed that few other spots were blinking and the effect was a bit stronger. I have tested that issue with my second monitor (same model) and just exactly the same  problem occures as well. Subsequently I have tested that with my windows PC and I couldn't observe that issue, I was quite surprised to be honest, but that means that issue is stricte connected to macbook. Im wondering if it's something connected to how macbook encode colors and sends it via hdmi cabel? I am assuming thats something Acer monitor has troubles to decode

Sounds like they are doing something weird with the web page. Have you tried a different browser?

yeah, I forgot to mention Im sorry, tested it on safari and the issue appears either. Sounds like that color is the problem but not sure whats the background of it, the OS badly encode/decode it and monitor has troubles to display it or there is anything other wrong

I tried it with Firefox on my Acer laptop and saw no artifacts in any of the three modes. The site seems to be a skin over github and the skin might be problematic. Try to find any other site that shows the same effect.

Your Acer laptop runs windows thats the difference, Ive tested that website  on my PC with windows previously and it was all fine. The problem is macbook together with the Acer monitor, why both and not only the macbook? because I have tried also with my 3rd LG monitor and it was all fine. The difference of these 2 monitors is that Acer is IPS while LG not, also both are 144hz. That's why my point is that something wrong could be with the Acer software. Never had Acer stuff before so I cant compare to any other.

Regarding that specific website, I noticed the problem by accident

    Monitor self test,

    1. Power OFF the unit.
    2. Unplug all the cables.
    3. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.
    4. Turn ON the unit and check.
