Acer Nitro 5 AN515-55-77YZ left fan is slower than the right fan.

So I got this Acer Nitro 5 last week and I noticed that the left fan inside the computer sounds weird on normal rpm. Upon checking the NitroSense it shows that the left fan is a thousand RPM slower than the right one. It doesn't matter if I crank up their speed manually, the left one is always slower. Is this normal or should take it back to the store and get a warranty check on it?

They are made like that. As far as I know, they are two different fans inside. The CPU fan blades are plastic and the GPU's are metal, and can run at faster RPM. Only Predators I think have both metal fans. I am also on a Nitro and I have the same experience as you.

The temps that you show for your AN515-55 are normal and that is how they should be, don't worry as these fan rpm's are governed by a switch and you can't do anything about it. These are the OEM CPU Fan True Value's turn off is at PROCHOT at 98°C, OS shut down at 100°C, H/W shut down at PH1=85°C and the VGA Fan True Value's turn off are: CPU PROCHOT at 95°C, OS shut down at 96 °C

I'm gonna take it back to the store where I got it because the left fan is abnormally loud on idle. I think the bearing might be faulty. It's really annoying and loud. Once the CoolBoost spins it up to high RPMs you barely notice it's noise but as soon as it comes back to normal RPMs it's loud again.

so is it normal that my left fan is spinning sometimes at 300 rpm??
